Carter's 1st Birthday!

As sad as I am to see my little baby boy turning a year old already, I really enjoyed his birthday party. It was nice to be able to spend time with all of our Pennsylvania friends before we leave. Carter got a little bit cranky since he missed his nap, but all in all I think he had a wonderful birthday! ***Here's a video of Carter getting to eat cake for the very first time*** You all know that I don't like him eating junk...but I made the cake myself (w/o milk) and had to make an exception for his birthday.

A Walk in the Park

We live about a mile from Lackawanna State Park...which freezes over for ice fishing in the winter. When we decided to get a puppy in the winter we hadn't really thought about the cold and snow and needing to take him outside for walks. Oddly enough, I really enjoy these family walks in the park. We bundle up well...and we don't have to worry about the park being overly congested with other people and their dogs ;-) It's actually beautiful out here with all of the white!

Carter is already 11 1/2 months...with that 1st birthday approaching very soon! Morro is 14 1/2 weeks and growing fast!

Chuck E Cheese

Carter had his first Chuck E Cheese experience Today. My moms group met there to celebrate all of the February and March birthdays. Carter seemed very interested in everything that was going on. He had fun and enjoyed taking in all of the sights and sounds--over stimulation at it's finest!

Snow Days

When it snows, it REALLY snows! It has been an extremely mild winter here, but we finally got some accumulation of snow--a couple of feet worth!










I don't imagine this is something Cory will miss about living in Pennsylvania ;-) Although, I think Morro is enjoying his extra time outdoors.

I built a snowbaby. The snow was too fluffy at first, now it's a little hard. Maybe I just lack snowman building skills. Either way, it was cold out and this is what we ended up with. 2-20-07

Feeding Myself! (video)

Carter fed himself dinner last night--what a mess! I'm not sure he actually ate very much, but he definitely seemed to be having a good time playing with his mushy vegetables.

Carter still prefers to crawl, but he gets around pretty well on his feet when he wants to. I just bought him a new toy that he seems to like...maybe it'll give him more courage to start walking around. He is getting around really fast now! He even climbs the stairs (a little too well).

Oh, and he stood for several seconds all by himself without getting scared. He will usually only stand for a second or two, then seems to get scared and he sits down.



Carter also likes making big messes when he eats...as well as exploring his vocal chords. Here's a video of him eating and screaming.

Morro playing in the snow

Morro is already 10 weeks old and growing by the second! At 16 pounds, it won't be too much longer until he's bigger than Carter.
