Monterey, CA

It has been foggy here...but only right where we live and gorgeous along the rest of the coast, so we decided to go somewhere for the day. We drove down HWY 1 to Monterey and it really couldn't have been a more beautifully clear day today! We had lunch in Monterey, then went to the wharf so I could have a sample of my favorite clam chowder at Fisherman's Grotto and get some salt water taffy. Next, we went to one of my favorite wineries. They have free tasting, reasonably priced (and even some cheap) wines and perhaps not our all time favorite...but, their wine is still pretty good. Cory played with Carter out on the lawn area next to the pond while mommy tasted and bought wine, then we drove back home. It's amazing how great it feels to get out of the house and do something different sometimes!
