Ashlyn's First Solids (avocado)

Gotta love these faces! Ashlyn tried taking food from my hands and wants to eat everythign, so I decided to give in and try solids. I know most people start with rice cereal and some as early as 4 months, but not me. I was holding out for 6 months or even later if she wasn't showing interest and skipping the fortified box cereals and going straight for real foods. Well, after my first attempt at avocado, I decided she was showing interest in food, just teething and showing interest in chewing on anything and everything she can get her hands on. Of course, she really is showing the signs of readiness for solids, so I'll continue to offer her some, but I won't be pushing it, especially if she continues to show looks of disgust. On the other hand, she did enjoy having a bib to chew on.
