Christmas Celebrations

We had several Christmas experiences this year and Carter had a blast opening all of his presents and playing with all the new toys, grandparents, aunts and uncles and his cousin. I've decided to list each Christmas celebration separately, so they're below in chronological order. I know it appears that Christmas was all about Carter getting presents (which he did get a lot of) but it was also nice to enjoy time with family, and everything else that comes with Christ's birth.

Presents at Home

Santa must've known we wouldn't be home for Christmas because he filled our stockings early. Carter enjoyed the head start on opening presents.

Christmas w/ Grandma & Grandpa Maurer

Carter had fun playing catching and playing at the park. Of course, he also loved opening presents and getting new toys to play with too!

"Ready, set, hike!"

"Um, excuse me, can I please have another present?"

Flory Christmas-12/24/07

My parent's house--no need to go light looking, although we did anyway (see Christmas Day pics).
Me and my older brother Jayson.

Carter giving the kitty kisses and helping Papa build a fire. He likes to be right in the middle of everything "helping."

Little naked diaper boy and his new farm tractor train set from Uncle Jayson.

Presents, presents and more presents! Carter is really getting the hang of this unwrapping stuff and enjoying all the new toys. He had to take an intermission from all the gift opening to take a nap. It was an all day event!

What a cute face!

Tools just like Daddy's!!!

"I know I saw Mommy open the box with the keys...I'll figure this out. Maybe I should ask for help before I get too impatient though."

Another Christmas family photo

Christmas Eve at Great Grandma Concannon's House

We went to Cory's grandma's for another celebration with his mom's side of the family. G'ma Concannon got him a toy that he calls his "g'ma toy."

Christmas Day--G'ma & G'pa Graves

Just "hanging out" with Daddy and playing with his super cool remote control car.

Grams and Gramps were able to stop by for a short visit too!

Yes, Morro always puts up with Carter crawling on top of him as if no one is even there.

Carter trying on his hats that his Auntie Donna and Aunt Carol knitted for him.

Christmas Light Looking at Dovewood Court--
Carter seemed to enjoy it, and...well, I always do.

Cory's favorite part was that it was less crowded this year because we went on Christmas night.

Thankistmas

My sister and I missed each other for the holidays this year. We spent Thanksgiving with Cory's parents and she spent Christmas in Las Vegas with her in-laws. To make up for it, we created our own holiday and had Amanda and her husband RJ over for "Thankistmas." We had the whole Thanksgiving feast again and enjoyed too much food and good company.

Christmas Tree Farm

We went on quite an adventure hunting for the perfect tree this year. The first place we went to was outrageous and the second...well, I guess you get what you pay for (see picture of misshapen trees w/ giant bold spots). In the end we found a decent tree at a decent price, but it took us the ENTIRE day. Carter had a blast running around without the stroller, carrier or mommy or daddy's hand! Oh, and in case you're wondering why the heck there are pirate ships in a post about Christmas trees...they're on "display" in Half Moon Bay and I snapped a shot as we were driving along HWY 1. Would've gotten better pics if we paid to tour them, or at least stopped the car.

Carter copies everything Daddy does and even helps to examine the trees.

Are these the saddest looking trees you've ever seen?

I'm free!!!!

Baby boy...getting too big to be held like this anymore :-(

Look at all this room to run!

Mommy's little boy :-)

See, pirate ships.
